PLANET POSITIVE 2030: IMAGINE THE FUTURE WE CAN BUILD TOGETHER
The World Climate Tech Summit is partnering with IEEE’s Planet Positive 2030 – a campaign created by a global community of experts, supported by Advancing Technology for Humanity, with a mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net 50% of 2005 emissions by 2030 and significantly increase regeneration and resilience of earth’s ecosystems).
The campaign has two “impossible goals”:
➔ Transform society and infrastructure to achieve Planet Positive 2030.
➔ Identify the technological solutions we need to design, innovate, and deploy to reach Planet Positive 2030.
Lowercarbon Capital backs kickass companies that make real money slashing CO2 emissions, sucking carbon out of the sky, and buying us time to unf**k the planet.
At Lowercarbon, they believe it will come from fusion. Against the backdrop of all the f**ked-upedness in the world, there is unrelenting progress
unfolding in the universe of plasma physics that has them feeling distinctly optimistic.
From Cambridge to Kyoto, Seattle to the South of France, there are several startups and national labs in an all-out sprint to be the first to cross Q=1, the
point where a fusion reactor generates as much energy as it consumes.
